A better place to ask such questions is the GCC
Developers' mailing list (gcc@gcc.gnu.org).


Even then, you'd be advised to work with current (SVN
trunk) sources rather than GCC 3.4.6 which has long
been retired.


You might also want to brush up on GCC Target Macros
as documented in its internals manual:
