The URL above goes to the regular development version of Flex. Also look at
    http://flex.sourceforge.net/
For some reason unknown to me, the Flex latest version and the CVS version
are sprinkled on two different URL's. Vern Paxson, who developed the
original Flex, decided to turn it over to W. L. Estes, which is what is
found at the URL's above.


I have no idea why the later Flex versions are not distributed with the
GNU tools. Distributed Bison versions seems to be quite old too.
