Hi folk,

I'm interested in a programming language/compiler book which gives a
nice introduction to designing programming language and implementing
the compiler for them. I'm am not planning to implement a compiler
anytime soon. Unfortunately I never managed to sign up for the
compiler construction class in school, and want to "fill in the
blanks" for what I missed.

There are a lot of great books out there, but may you recommend just
one?

Current Programming Language Pragmatics by Michael L. Scott seems to
be the best choice.
