Subject: Compiler Verification Position at Transmeta Corporation, Santa Clara CA


Transmeta Corporation is looking for a senior compiler verification
engineer.


You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering
critical enhancements to Transmeta's compiler and Code Morphing
Software verification infrastructure. This entails


      o Developing and enhancing tools to verify the correctness of the
          code generated by the Transmeta Code Morphing Software.


      o Developing and enhancing tools to verify the correctness of the
          code generated by the static toolchain (e.g., gcc).


      o Developing and enhancing tools to verify the structural integrity
          of the Transmeta Code Morphing Software.




Requirements


Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software testing and compiler
verification technology. In-depth understanding of testing
methodologies and processor architectures. Excellent interpersonal and
debugging skills required. Candidate should be self-motivated and
comfortable working in a fast paced, mission-critical engineering
environment.




Valuable skills


Candidates with experience in just-in-time compilation and VLIW
architectures a plus.




Education


M.S. in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering
or PhD in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering
preferred.




Unique Conditions


Must be physically at Santa Clara.
