Compiler developers - Bristol, UK
Icera is a new fabless chip start-up rewriting the rules of wireless
communications design. Our digital chip technology is based on a new
class of programmable signal processor which offers spectacular
performance at low power consumption. The company was founded in
April 2002 by a highly experienced team of semiconductor executives
and in Jan 2003 raised a $10M Series A funding from Benchmark
Capital and Atlas Venture. The company is incorporated in the USA
and has design locations in Bristol, UK.
We currently have permanent positions available within our Software
Toolchain development team.
The roles will involve developing our software toolchain,
with specific emphasis on code generation technologies. It will
entail working alongside our processor designers to optimize
and target the new core.
Requirements are a relevant degree (Computer Science, Electronic
Engineering) with prior toolchain development experience (4+ years),
ideally with experience of porting GNU tools and of advanced
register allocation and code scheduling techniques.
Experience of DSP algorithms and techniques would be beneficial.
RTOS development experience will be useful for one of the roles.
