We have released version 4.4.0 of the Eli compiler construction
system. See http://eli-project.sourceforge.net/ for complete
information about this release.

Eli 4.4.0 runs reliably in the Cygwin Unix environment under Windows
NT, 2000, and XP. Windows 3.1, 95, 98, and ME do not support
pre-emption and true multi-threading. Eli is a multi-threaded program
and therefore randomly deadlocks under these systems. Unfortunately,
Eli is considerably slower under Cygwin than it is under Unix.

The configuration/make process has been simplified in Eli 4.4.0, and
functionality has been added to the unparser generator. There have
been several other minor improvements.
