There is an ISO/IEC standard language for audio signal processing,
it is part of MPEG 4 Audio, and is called Structured Audio. You can
download the original standards document and a list of Corrigenda
on the language from:
http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~lazzaro/sa/book/append/fdis/SA-FDIS.pdf
http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~lazzaro/sa/book/append/fdis/SA_DCOR1.pdf
There's also an online book, and a Structured Audio to C compiler,
available at:
http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~lazzaro/sa/index.html
