Infineon Technologies, a leading provider of application-oriented
semiconductor solutions for use in sectors such as speech and data
communications, peripherals, wireless communications, automotive and
industrial electronics, security and chip cards and memory products is
seeking an Embedded Compiler Specialist to join its Software
Development Tools team in San Jose, California.

The team works closely with internal and external customers and tool
vendors to provide state-of-the-art development tools for Infineon's
microcontrollers. The successful candidate for the Compiler Specialist
position will use several industry-standard benchmark programs, to
analyze the performance of existing compilers in terms of code
efficiency, feature set, and integration with debuggers and
emulators. Reasons for poor performance will be identified and
proposals for improvement provided to ensure optimal use of the
microcontroller's capabilities.

The position requires a BS in electrical engineering or computer
science, MS preferred, with a minimum of 5 years related experience
working with microprocessor tools. Knowledge of compiler design and
optimization is essential as is programming experience using C/C++
cross compilers and assemblers. Knowledge of real-time operating
systems and experience in debugging with hardware emulation tools is
an advantage.
