We released the Metamata Development Environment Version 2.0 for Java
late last week. It's main component is an incremental compiler
capable of rebuilding at the statement level, and a debugger that goes
with it. The debugging environment is very Smalltalk/Lisp like and it
does come with the edit-eval-print capability. It has been adapted
for use with all JDKs 1.1 or later and works with most application
servers and can debug Servlets, JSP in source form, etc. It offers
remote attachment and multithreaded debugging.

The base version of this product is now free and you can download it
from www.metamata.com.
