I seem to recall claims that Interlisp supported event-driven
programming, in an old Scientific American article where someone from
Xerox was pointing out that Interlisp supported *all* the major
programming models....
Then of course there was Simula 67, in which you couldn't do a whole
lot *without* events, but I'm not sure whether they were a real data
type or not.
