OPS5, a Lisp based language (AFAIK written in Lisp), works event
driven. You have a couple of rules and a couple of assertions
(propositions). Whenever an assertion is added to the knowledge base,
all relevant rules are activated. Each rule mainly does nothing else
than inserting or deleting other assertions to/from the kb.
