If a commercial compiler is ok, you may want to take a look at
<www.ace.nl/products/cosy.htm> They sell a toolkit to build C
compilers, and can provide training and support. This may well help
you get a high-quality compiler in a much shorter time. They most
certainly charge for their products and services.
