Job Responsibilities:


The EPIC Technology Group of Synopsys delivers verification solutions
for nanometer IC designs. We seek a software developer to join a small
team working on a product that is very important to our microprocessor
design customers.


As a key member of our team you will develop new features for an
analog circuit simulator to improve simulation speed, capacity,
performance, and usability, while supporting algorithms in the
existing analog simulator.


This role provides many opportunities for the right person to
demonstrate superior problem solving and analysis skills, creativity,
and persistence while working in a highly technical development
environment that stresses both independence and collaboration with
other team members.


The ideal candidate will have a background in developing optimizing
compilers including data flow analysis, common subexpression
elimination, code generation, register allocation, and instruction
scheduling. In addition the cadidate should have some experience with
analog simulators and circuits, and knowledge of basic transistor
theory.


This is an opportunity to apply compiler theory to a non-traditional
area.


Experience with debugger internals a strong plus.


Education:
    A Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or
    equivalent years of experience is required. PhD is a strong plus.
