Software engineer needed to expand the functionality of the current
MPI library and closely follow the evolving MPI standard. Maintain
and support the library as the High Performance Computing group adds
SMPs and clusters of SMPs to the list of support platforms.
Responsibilities to include: Implement, test, debug and optimize a
message passing library to be supported on SMPs and clusters of SMPs.
The scope of the project may include design work.


Experience with MPI and PVM programs or library internals,
understanding of message passing libraries, parallel algorithms,
network protocols (TCP), UNIX internals, and demonstrated software
design skills. C, UNIX, Sockets, and IPC knowledge required. BSCS,
2+ years experience.

Compiler/Debugger Development & Maintenance (MPI/PVM)


Software engineer to design and add new features to an existing
product. Possible features include thread support, performance
analysis and sophisticated support for message passing programs.
Responsibilities to include: design and implement innovative new
features for a state-of-the-art software development environment for
parallel and serial applications. The environment includes a
debugger, performance analyizer and visual- ization tools.
Participate in the implementation and debugging of new functionality
in Prism. Must also be willing to help debug and maintain the current
version of the product. Debugger experience, exposure to compiler
development, experience with MPI or PVM programs, understanding of
message passing libraries, parallel algorithms, network protocols
(TCP), UNIX internals, and demonstrated software design skills
knowledge preferred. C, UNIX, Elf, Sockets, and C++ knowledge
required. 7-10 years of experience required.
