Dear people interested in compiler, computer architecure and ANDF,

I updated the ANDF Reference Guide(Date: 96/11/12 13:24:05 ).
It is available via WWW at
                          http://www.uni-karlsruhe.de/~ae59/ANDF.html

A short abstract of this guide:
Purpose and background of this document
----------------------------------------
This reference guide summarises information around the Architectural
Neutral Distribution Format (ANDF) technology. It is intended to give
a survey on existing research (papers, associated material) and
products related to ANDF, just like an extended FAQ. All (ideally) or
at least most important information around ANDF, that is currently
spread over numerous papers, should be available here, being updated
quarterly. Most input to this paper come from documents and WWW pages
of the ESPRIT Open Microprocessor systems Initiative (OMI), OSF and
DERA.

What's new in this issue?

o I corrected several typing errors and HTML format flaws and
validated all links and information to be up to date.
A link to TAO systems as another ANDF alternative has been added.
o Etnoteam is developing a C++ producer, scheduled until spring 1997.
o New entry for ANDF standardisation activities.
o A new TDF release emerged from OMI/DEPLOY.

This paper was compiled by Heinrich Berlejung. I am a member of the
ANDF group at the University Karlsruhe (TH). We are currently working
with ANDF in the European research project ESPRIT OMI/ANTICRASH
no. 20899. I hope to keep this paper as unbiased, accurate and
comprehensive as possible.

Thanks for your interest and kind regards
Heiner Berlejung
