                                                    CALL FOR PAPERS
                                IASTED International Conference on
Parallel and Distributed Computing and Systems
                                      Chicago, Illinois - USA
                                          October 16-19, 1996

SPONSOR: The International Association of Science and Technology for
                    Development, IASTED

PURPOSE:
The International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing and
Systems, sponsored by IASTED, is a major annual forum for scientists,
engineers and practitioners throughout the world to present the latest
research results, ideas, development and applications in all areas of
parallel and distributed processing. The 1995 conference attracted
researchers from 37 countries. The 1996 meeting (PDCS'96) will include
keynote addresses, contributed papers, tutorials, workshops and
commercial exhibitions. This year's conference will be held in
Chicago, Illinois, USA - which features the home of the Museum of
Science and Industry, housing international exhibits of technology
(including U-505, captured during World War II), the Chicago Art
Institute and other internationally known museums. Sites of interest
also include the Sears Tower, and Lakefront shopping area.

SCOPE:
The main focus of PDCS'96 will be parallel and distributed computing
and systems viewed from the three perspectives of architecture and
networking, software systems, and algorithms and applications. Topics
include but are not limited to the following:
