                  --------------------------------------------------

The final program of the 8th ISSS, as well as registration and hotel
reservation forms are now available. Please consult :

                              http://www.imec.be/isss/isss95.html

An ASCII version of these documents is included below.

ISSS is the successor of the High-Level Synthesis Workshop/Symposium.
In addition to high-level synthesis, this year's symposium will cover
new topics in full electronic system design, such as estimation and
transformation, software/hardware co-design, use of embedded
processors, high-level synthesis and modeling.

Please note that ISSS'95 is:
-1- Presenting a high-quality and well focused technical program.
        -2- Affordable: low registration fee.
-3- Organized in a wonderful place: Cannes, French Riviera.

                                                  September 13-15, 1995

                                                      ADVANCE PROGRAM

Co-sponsored by the ACM/SIGDA and IEEE/DATC in cooperation
                            with IFIP/WG 10.5, SGS-Thomson Microelectronics, France
                                                  Telecom and TIMA/CNRS-INPG-UJF

--------------------
AIM OF THE SYMPOSIUM
--------------------
This symposium is the eighth in a series of high-quality technical
forums. It is the continuation of the previous High-Level Synthesis
workshop and symposium events. The symposium is oriented
towards design automation professionals and presents the latest
results in emerging synthesis and system design technologies. This
includes: System-level synthesis, programmable processor based
design and software synthesis, hardware-software co-design and
behavioral synthesis.
The program committee has selected 25 out of 79 submissions.
Regular papers will be presented in five sessions of two hours,
starting with a 10 minutes verbal presentation and followed by a
poster session during which refreshments will be served. In addition
there will be two invited presentations in the emerging areas of multi-
media system design and state of-the-art real time system
technology. An original element of the symposium is a series of
workgroup focus discussion periods that will involve all attendees.
Finally two panels will address power issues at the system level and
the convergence of industry expectation and system synthesis
research.
