We're looking at optimizations which can benefit from, or may be
enabled by, cloning basic blocks; I'd appreciate any references anyone
knows has on this subject.


I already know about the tail duplication done in the "superblock"
work by Wen-Mei Hwu et al -- that's the sort of thing we're interested
in, I'm just looking for more background.
