SAC '95
=======

SAC is the annual conference of the ACM Special Interest Group on Applied
Computing (SIGAPP). For the past nine years, SAC has been a primary forum
for applied computing practitioners and researchers. Again this year, SAC
'95 will be held in conjunction with the 1995 ACM Computer Science
Conference in Nashville. Papers in all areas of applied computing are
solicited. Proposals for tutorials and panels are also encouraged.

Special Track on Programming Languages
======================================

A special track on programming languages will be held at SAC '95. It will
be a forum for engineers, researchers and practitioners throughout the
world to share technical ideas and experiences relating to implementation
and application of programming languages. Original papers and tutorial
(half or full day) and panel proposals are invited in all areas of
programming language technology. Major topics of interest include but are
not limited to the following:

AI Languages Automatic Parallelization
Automatic Programming Compiling Techniques
Database Programming Languages Formal Semantics
Functional Programming Logic Programming
Meta and Higher-order Programming Object-Oriented Programming
Programming Languages for Specification Languages
          Parallel/Distributed Execution

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
=========================

Original papers from the above-mentioned areas will be considered.
Accepted articles will be published in the SAC '95 Conference Proceedings
to be published by the ACM Press. Expanded versions of selected papers
will be considered for publication in the ACM/SIGAPP quarterly APPLIED
COMPUTING REVIEW.

In order to facilitate the blind external review process, submission
guidelines must be strictly adhered to:

* Submit 6 copies of original manuscripts to the SAC '95 Programming
Languages Track Chair at the address below.

* Author name(s) and address(es) are NOT to appear in the body of the
paper, and self-reference should be in the third person.

* The body of paper should not exceed 4,000 words (approximately 15 pages,
double-spaced).

* A separate cover sheet should be attached to each copy, containing (1)
the title, (2) the author(s) and affiliation(s), and (3) the address
(including e-mail and FAX number) to which correspondence should be
addressed.

* All papers and panel proposals must be received by September 1, 1994.
