Have you used matrices in a novel way to support the study and analysis of
computer system operation? Do you know of novel applications in the
literature? This would include, for example, matrices applied to system
performance evaluation and optimization, and would include software (e.g.,
compiler optimization methods) as well as hardware (e.g., systems analysis
methods). It also could apply to either serial, vector, or parallel
systems. Matrices have been critical to the study of systems in other
disciplines, and as background for thesis research, I am investigating
their uses in computer systems. If you have any information, I will be
happy to acknowledge your contribution. Also, I'll make the information I
