                                  SQA Position - Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and carrying out
quality assurance programs for Concurrent Computer Corporation's Ada
Language System, which includes the compiler and related tools, and
software development tools for real-time applications. The QA programs
will span the entire software life- cycle and will involve requirements
tracking, review of functional specifications, participation in design
reviews and code walkthroughs, development of test plans, monitoring and
assessment of testing activity, development/execution of Beta test plans,
and evaluation of a product's readiness for release. The individual will
also be responsible for the development of software tools to support
testing, release engineering, configuration management and other aspects
of the QA process.


The QA model is based on a cooperative relationship between the QA and
Development organizations, and the individual will be expected to work
closely with the Development group and other organizations involved in the
development of the product to identify and correct problems and ensure
that only high quality products are developed and released.




Requirements:


Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and techniques


Strong QA experience


Strong interpersonal skills


Knowledge of ISO 9000 and IEEE software engineering standards


Knowledge of software metrics and their use in the QA process


Strong software development experience


Good working knowledge of Ada, C and C++ desirable


Unix experience desirable


Good communication skills
