At the time, I definitely thought I had uncovered a bug.
If I remember correctly, I used only instructions that appeared in other
"superoptimized" code in the article.
As I said, I sent it to the author, but never received a reply. That was a
long time ago, but I seem to recall that I sent US mail, not email. I've
searched through my ancient email and can't find it.
Sorry I brought it up now.
